Buddy is a Producer and past president of The Phoenix Company.
A Winston-Salem native, Buddy attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Upon graduation in 1973, Buddy began his insurance career by working as an underwriter for Kemper Insurance Company. Buddy then joined The Phoenix Company in 1975. He has held various positions at the agency including Producer, Vice President, and President. During his 50 years in the insurance industry, he has attained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation.
Buddy enjoys that the insurance industry is still a people business and appreciates the relationships he has built over the years.
Buddy is an active committee member and has served as a Trustee of Ardmore United Methodist Church. Buddy is the past President of the Winston-Salem Civitan Club and past President of the Piedmont CPCU Chapter.
In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, visiting National Parks (62 visited so far), golfing, pulling for the Tar Heels, spending time in Blowing Rock and Sunset Beach, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and two granddaughters.
